- If the Wedaal-data is older than 10 days, the owner of the station will be informed (only if the owner has left contact info (e.g. e-mail-adress) in his user-profile) and the station will be set "offline".
- In that case the operator should bring his Wedaal-file in order and contact us when available again.
- If the owner does not react within 10 days after being informed, the station will be deleted from the Wedaal-project, as I asume that there is no more interest any more in takeing part at Wedaal.
- In the case of vacation, illness, change of web- Server ... please contact us so that the Wedaal-project is working properly.
Instructions for PICKING UP wedaal.txt
- Load the file "wedaal-read.htx" out of our database.
- Extract the file, e.g. to /usr/local/etc/wview/html
- Now open "/usr/local/etc/wview/html-templates.conf", insert a new row and enter"WEDAAL-read.htx".
- Restart to read out the configuration file.
- Depending on the defined interval the file "wedaal.htm" will be generated in "/usr/local/var/wview/wedaal.htm".
- Upload your Wedaal file to your server/webspace.The link to your Wedaal file should look like this: >>>Dieser Link wird erst nach der kostenlosen Registrierung hier angezeigt.<<<
- IMPORTANT: If the upload works well go to Profil --->"Wedaal-Entry" and list your data.
- Go to subsection "Wedaal entry" and set the necessary information about country, longitude, latitude and location.
- Go to subsection "Wedaal data-setting" and set the "Pick-up" option. Enter the full link to your wedaal.txt next to "URL to Wedaal file". Ignore the 3 keyword forms.
- Pay attention to the date format, depending on the way wview issues it.
- After saving your settings, send us an info (e.g. by mail or PM) to make us known that your file is available.
- As soon as our support team notice a new registration or amendment the entry will come under scrutiny. If everything is okay, we will activate your station for Wedaal network.
Important hints
- Filling out the webcam form isn't necessary, but if you enter a path, please give it exactly (jpg or gif)
- Koordinates are to be made in decimal-format (like this: xx.xxxxxx) and NOT in degrees centigrade (wrong: xx°xx'xx"). Please also take care if you give us your latitude and your longitude. These koodinates are often switched and/or have a "W and E" problem. Only if your data is correct we can put you on the map.
- Please do not enter special characters into the location box, e.g. *, ~, etc. If you would like to enter a larger town please enter your district, too (e.g. Berlin - Tegel).
- If you make changes at your wedaal-profile (wedaal-entry) be advised that you have to wait until the support-team here has checked your date and unlocked your station. Until this is done your station will not appear on the map and in your wedaal profile your station will be marked as "nicht freigeschaltet" (not set free). Please contact one of our support staff to speed up the unlocking process.
- If you take part at WEDAAL, you can set up your actual weather situation on the map. Go to your user profile here at the board and click at "WEDAAL-entry". At the last point you can choose your actual weather symbol which will appear for 3 hours on the map. You can update this symbol at anytime.
- Anybody who's takeing part at WEDAAL can use the following HTML-Code for the WEDAAL-logo for his homepage:
